Upon arrival in Italy, all admitted students must present themselves to the Welcome Desk of  their respective campuses to begin the enrolment procedure. Consign the original enrolment documents to the Registrar’s Office - "Segreteria Studenti" (if not already submitted). Instructions will at that point be given to admitted students concerning the next steps to follow. Within eight days from the student's arrival in Italy, students must apply for a residence permit ("permesso di soggiorno") for study purposes at one of the qualified Post  Offices located in the city where students intend to take up residence. At the same time  students will also have to apply for a fiscal code ("codice fiscale") that will be required for the enrolment at the Politecnico di Milano.

The Welcome Desks support international students admitted to one of  Politecnico di Milano Master of Science, providing information about enrolment, accommodation, stay permit, health insurance and anything concerning life in Italy.
