At your arrival

By the end of August the Embassy/Consulate offices will issue an entrance visa for study purposes (Visa type "D") to all those who have been admitted to both the Italian language test and to the entrance test. At the Embassy/Consulate offices students will also receive, together with their visa, all the information regarding dates, places and time of the tests. Within eight days of the student's arrival in Italy, he/she must go to the Questura (police headquarters) of the city where he/she intends to take up residence and apply for a residence permit for study purposes.

1. Take the Entrance Test

At the beginning of September students must take an entrance admission test held in Italian. More information on the entrance test will be provided soon to those candidates who have been positively evaluated on the basis of their online application and their dossier.

On the days of the tests, in order to be admitted and allowed to take the tests, the student must produce his/her passport with the specific entrance visa for study purposes along with a receipt issued by the appropriate Post Office confirming that the student has applied for a residence permit.
