Students interested in applying for an Erasmus or an extra-European exchange at the Politecnico di Milano, first have to contact the International Relations Office of their home institution and ask there for information, since each partner university has its own pre-selection process with specific pre-requisites and timing.

Students selected by their home institution are invited to register on-line in order to get username and password needed to get access to the Application Form. Registration will open twice a year: from 12^th  April  to 14^th  June 2012 for Autumn arrivals and from 6^th November to 17^th December 2012 for Spring arrivals

The candidate will also have the possibility to prepare a preliminary Learning agreement. Only applications from students that have been officially nominated by home university officials will be considered.

An acceptance letter will be sent to all accepted exchange students and must be brought at arrival, together with the duly signed application form and:

• A Transcript of Records of previous study results 
• One passport-sized photo

In some cases the following documents could be required: 

• A Portfolio, Letter of motivation and/or CV to be written in English or Italian

• check how their application proceeds (accepted as an exchange student) 
• modify the Learning agreement (the first weeks in Milan students will prepare their definitive Study Plan/Learning agreement using Poliself)
