Registration

Registration for graduation exams is carried out by accessing On Line Services with person code and password, selecting the function "Graduation session registration" (activated if the student is in a position to graduate in the academic year).

A prerequisite for registration is to have the Study Plan validated with all credits needed to acquire the qualification (already acquired or to be acquired before the deadline of any session); it must include the Credits of the Final Exam.

On registration for the Graduation Session, the graduation candidate must:

  • complete the Graduation application
  • complete the programme assessment questionnaire, in anonymous form and destined for the Ministry
  • complete the CV destined for the Politecnico di Milano Alumni Association for the Career Service
  • print the bank order for payment of the Graduation fee amounting to € 78.91, comprising the following items:
    • 44.29 diploma cost (Parchment roll)
    • 20.00 special contribution for admission to Graduation exam
    • 14.62 stamp duty

The bank order may be printed at a later stage by again accessing the the same function in On Line Services.

In the event that the student is not in line with payment of university taxes and fees, the amount will include any arrears.

At the end of the on-line procedure it is recommended to print out the registration receipt.

The deadline for payment of fees is strictly the same as the deadline for submission of the Graduation application and must be done at a branch of Banca Popolare di Sondrio (BPS) or associated bank.

Should the student decide not to attend the Graduation Session, he/she must withdraw his/her application using the On Line Services.

If the function is already disabled, since outside the prescribed period, withdrawal must be promptly notified to the Registrar's Office.

A student which has previously withdrawn, when registering for a new Graduation session will be required to repeat the registration procedure in full as well as to pay the Graduation fee, reduced by the amount corresponding to the cost of the diploma already paid in the previous registration.

Only and exclusively for those enrolled in Educational Systems prior to MD 509/99 a copy of the university log book must be hand delivered or sent by fax to the Registrar’s Office of their Campus.

The Registrar's Office will verify the eligibility of each Graduation application for admission to the Final Exam, with regard to the administrative position and fulfilment of all educational obligations necessary for graduation.

Once the procedure has been concluded, the graduation candidate will receive a communication in his/her institutional webmail confirming pre-registration for the Graduation Session (the status of confirmed pre-registration or registration is also available by accessing the  On Line Services).

In case of deficiencies or requests for clarification, the student will be promptly contacted by the Registrar’s Office, otherwise he/she is deemed to be admitted to the final exam.

The Registrar’s Office will notify individual schools of the list of eligible graduation candidates  approx. one week before the date of the session
Schools, at their discretion, can publish the list of those admitted to the Final Exam c/o the office of the Dean of the School.
Schools take care of organizing the graduation day and publishing via specific notices logistical information concerning sessions (lecture theatres and timetables) and corresponding announcement of results, even in periods close to the date of the final exam (see the section Notices and the webiste of the  School in question).
