ASP selects 150 students per year, among the applicants to the Master of Science - MSc (Laurea Magistrale) programs in Engineering, Architecture and Design at Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi) and Politecnico di Torino (PoliTo). The ASP program runs parallel to the MSc programs of the two institutions.
The official ASP language is English.

Why the ASP

Innovation and knowledge are the core drivers of sustainable development.
That’s why companies and public institutions are increasingly looking for talented engineers, architects and designers mastering their elective technology, but who also understand the socio–economic context and are able to pursue complex innovation projects in a team work context.
The mission of ASP is to provide high profile graduates combining in-depth (vertical) disciplinary knowledge from their MSc program with interdisciplinary (horizontal) skills that are needed to work and contribute leadership in a truly multidisciplinary environment.
At ASP we also consider passion an essential ingredient for achieving success in any task, as well as for having fun while studying and working.
ASP General Framework ASP educational programme consists of 30 credits and runs in parallel with the two years (120 credits) of Laurea Magistrale programmes. Its activities are organized in two elements:

  • ASP Courses on interdisciplinary issues, methods and models of innovation. Courses are based on lectures and seminars given by prominent international professors from Universities all over the world. A Summer School runs at the end of each year.
  • ASP Multidisciplinary Projects, where to practice and experience the development of complex innovations. At the beginning of the first year, each ASP student becomes part of a multidisciplinary team of 5/6 persons. Each team chooses a Study Project, usually proposed by business enterprises or Public Administrations, and proceeds with exploration, concept generation and analysis throughout the two following years. The project will be submitted to the ASP Faculty in a final exam.
