Sport@Lecco Campus
PoloSportivo is the project of Lecco Campus devoted to sport and sport enthusiasts. The model of British and American universities is taken as inspiration, but it is reinterpreted under the light of local geography and sport tradition, and considering the technical and scientific competences of Politecnico di Milano.
The location of Lecco, which is surrounded by the lake and mountains, is an ideal and exclusive setting for sport activity. This vocation relies on a strong and highly reputed tradition of mountain sports (climbing, skiing, mountain running and mountain bike) and lake sports (rowing, canoeing, sailing and windsurf), as well as on the number of excellent athletes coming from Lecco.
Considering the technical and scientific attitude of Politecnico di Milano, PoloSportivo Project is born with the additional goal of promoting an effective integration of education, research, sport applied technology and student sport activities.
With the support of CUS Milano and Univerlecco, PoloSportivo Project offers a wide and original range of sport opportunities, where sport facilities, centres and clubs, athletes and sport equipment factories make Campus PoloSportivo, an original model of sport campus diffused over the territory.
The sport offer provided by PoloSportivo Project is available to students and staff registered to CUS Milano (Centro Universitario Sportivo di Milano). Particular conditions, namely free accesses to a large number of sport facilities of Campus PoloSportivo, are reserved to persons belonging to the Lecco section of CUS Milano (students and staff of Lecco Campus).
