The Bachelor Mechanical Engineer is a professional technician with academic background, able to design and develop mechanical products and processes, to coordinate the installation and the commissioning of complex machines and mechanical systems, to manage and maintain production plants, and finally to perform technical controls, verifications and technical services at industrial level. The technical skills acquired by Bachelor in mechanical Engineering are typically focused on the mechanical industry sector, even though those skills can be deployed in the broader industrial engineering field, or in service oriented companies and in the public administration
In order to obtain the degree of Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, 180 credits (Cfu) must be acquired. The academic activities necessary for acquiring this amount of credits are detailed in the "Regolamento Diadattico". In particular, a minimum number of 45 Cfu must be acquired by basic education activities (mathematics, informatics, chemistry, physics), a minimum number of 60 Cfu must be obtained within specific education activities (basic disciplines of mechanical engineering and energy engineering) and finally a number of credits obtained with complementary activities (courses on specific disciplines and industrial internships/stages in the case of the professional tracks).
