The Physics Engineering graduate is an expert with a wide basic knowledge and a formation in relevant fields of innovation technology such as physics of matter, photonics and optical and physical technologies. The formation is completed by a preparation in the main engineering disciplines. The degree allows one to act as an innovation expert, capable of managing products and processes with a high technological and innovative content in several industrial fields, and in particular in ICT.
As specified in the didactic regulations, 180 credits are required to obtain the degree (first level). More specifically, for the basic courses (mathematics, statistics, computer science, chemistry, ..) at least 50 credits are required. For distinguishing courses as main engineering disciplines (as electronics, automation, energetics, mechanics) and for advanced courses as laser physics and applications, structure of matter, material science, the total credits are at least 100; for other activities (laboratory activities project, stages, ...) a minimum of 5 credits.
